Well it looks like 2K sports are running out of options with their take on the MLB franchise. They decided to bundle MLB 2K13 and NBA 2K13 together. While that seems like a great thing let me inform you on why it is not. First of all they don’t want to fix the legacy bugs that plague that game every year. Now they want to bundle the MLB game with NBA 2k. Let me ask you guys at 2K Sports a question, when are the bugs going to be addressed? Another thing that is really concerning is that they are again leaving out PC players. All the PC community is asking for is the same game on every platform.
NBA 2k13 on Pc this year was an utter disappointment in terms of features graphics, and pre order exclusives. If you purchase the DVD version of the game, you can forget about playing with your pal, because the only way you can play friends is by playing online association, if you can get it to connect to the servers which I have never been able to get accomplished. And now this happens with MLB 2K13, a dying baseball franchise that is in no way shape or form on the same level as MLB the show. And the last thing that I must bring up is the perfect game contest. If this was not invented, I am 100 percent sure that the game would have not sold as well that year. 2K sports reputation is slowly turning gold to bronze as they are relying on marketing and contests rather than presentation graphics and game play, which is what made them elite to begin with.
No let’s get into the subject at hand, MLB2k13. If MLB 2K13 was like its last years rendition to the franchise, I’m sure that the throwing from base to base motion will still be broken. Often times I had players overthrowing to 1st base causing me to either rage quit or restart the match. Also I hope the player models will be more lifelike Yu Darvish did not look a thing like him. And he was signed during the off season so its not like they didn’t have enough time to get a face scan to get a decent looking player model. Another bug I have noticed in every MLB 2K game is when you move the player into the circle and they tend to not want to be in the center during a pop fly.
Bottom line is I would like to see more,” here is why this year’s game is better.” Rather than,
“lets bring a famous person to play our game on stage.” Only time will tell what the future holds for MLB 2K, but in all honesty I like the competition between the two. No if only 2K would step their game up and beat MLB the show for once, then it would be more of a competition. It’s only a matter of time before EA enters the mix again.
